Friends of Caludon Castle Park
The Friends of Caludon Castle Park group was formed in 2007 after John Clarke OBE called a public meeting in Caludon Castle school for people interested in improving the park to meet and decide a way forward. The residents at the meeting voted to form a friends group to address local issues and generally help improve the park.
Since then the group has been very active and successful in creating new projects and developments to ensure the long term future and wide appreciation of this special site.
New members and volunteers are always welcome, as is your feedback, so please get in touch or get involved to help make our park the best it can be.

The Friends Committee
Chair - Faye Abbot
Faye joined the group sometime ago and has now taken on the role of Chair to help guide the important developments in the park that will benefit our community for years to come.
Dr. Nash has lived near the park for the last 60 years and has proved a formidable force during his retirement driving the Friends of Caludon Castle group onward with passion, wisdom and his reknowned presentations.
Matthew and his family moved to Wyken shortly before the Friends Group was formed and at the first public meeting offered to support the work of the group as volunteer Treasurer. Matthew initially joined the group in the hope of getting the castle ruin lit at night, an idea that he and many others are still keen to see realised.
Acting Secretary - Marie Wears
We would like to welcome and thank our Acting Secretary Marie for her support.
Other committee members:
Gary Haigh, John Clarke OBE, George Sweet, Gordon Tebutt, Eve McFadden, Rachel Simpson and Herjiven Nagra.
What We Do
The Friends Group has been successful in lobbying for new facilities, fund raising, event organising and developing plans for major new improvements.
