Making An Difference
The 'Making An Entrance' project is now called 'Making A Difference'. The project will still dramatically improve the two entrances into Caludon Castle Park, but will now include an extra range of new faciltities for Caludon Castle Park. The project will include an improved car park, new lights (which are already in place) a natural play area, loads of new planting and our very orchard to house the famous Wyken Pippn apple. Coventry City Council has altered their timescales for the park's re-development in order to work in partership with the Friends group to create this unique improvement in the park.
Thanks to the excellent work that Lousie Kovaric of Kova Landscape undertook to design the new entrances with local school children from Caludon Castle, Richard Lee and Wyken Croft we have a great set of designs that were shown for feedback from park users at last years Fun Day.
All the hard work from local people and children has been included in a bid to secure the final funds of £50,000 from Changing Spaces required to complete the project.

Whilst we are waiting to hear back from Changing Spaces there's an exciting new Caludon Castle Park Management Plan 2011-16 to explore the details of new developments in the park over the next 5 years.
