What We Are Doing?

Our group is focused on improving the park's facilities, organising events and increasing awareness of the park and its unique history. So what are we doing? Well hopefully by reading this website you'll know that we're very busy organising this years Fun Day as well as planning new entrances to the park, supporting John Clarke's 'The Lords of Caludon' book, consulting the community for a new play area, improving car parking and lighting - to mention just a few of the developments that are in store over the coming year.

Our long term ambition is to attain Green Flag status for Caludon Castle Park as we believe the extra publicity that Green Flag status brings would attract more people to come and enjoy what the park has to offer.

What Have We Done?

In the short time that the Friends of Caludon Castle Park group has been operating we have managed to produce some great results with the help of our key partners such as Caludon Castle school.

Organising a free annual Fun Day

Installation of park benches

Installation of dog waste bins

Installation of litter bins

Ensuring the daily opening and closure of the park gates

Bulb planting sessions with Caludon Castle school

Tree planting event

Numerous park clean up days
